RISE Online Academy Daily Live Lessons Overview

RISE Online Academy students will participate in daily live lessons led by certified teachers. These lessons are an important part of student engagement and learning.

Attendance

• In addition to participation in asynchronous learning, attendance in live sessions will count toward each student's official attendance record.
• Students are expected to attend their scheduled sessions consistently to remain in good standing with the program.
• If a student misses a live lesson, the absence will be recorded. Students can show engagement via asynchronous learning for attendance.
• Families should contact their student's teacher or the RISE support team to discuss any missed instruction and, if applicable, provide documentation for excused absences.

Time Commitment

• Students will spend no more than two hours per day in live lessons.
• The schedule is designed to provide structure while maintaining flexibility for independent work and family schedules.

Lesson Structure

• Each subject area has a set time slot during the school day.
• Lessons are led by a live teacher and are aligned to state standards.
• Students may ask questions, receive direct instruction, and strengthen their understanding of the content.
• Live lessons provide instruction, structure, and interaction but do not replace independent work.

• The schedule may vary by grade level. Please review carefully to ensure your student attends the correct sessions.
• Attendance counts toward your student's official attendance record.
