Different Ways To Use Your Funds

Through the OpenEd platform, there are three different ways to make the most of the available funds that are provided to OpenEd students.

Marketplace Purchases

OpenEd's marketplace offers a wide range of resources from the curriculum providers that you know and love. To access the marketplace, click on the Marketplace option from the lefthand menu in the OpenEd platform.

Every listing in the marketplace is individually priced, letting you mix and match to build a curriculum that's just right for your student. As long as what you're purchasing supports a subject on your student's education plan, you're good to go.

Orders are funded directly from your OpenEd wallet, meaning that you don't have to wait to be reimbursed. On the checkout screen, you'll be able to see exactly how many funds you have remaining â along with how much your purchase will deduct.

For a more detailed look at our marketplace, check out Marketplace Overview.

Reimbursement

OpenEd will reimburse you for approved educational expenses that are related to your student's education plan.

You can submit a request for reimbursement by clicking on the Reimbursement menu option from the lefthand sidebar in our platform.

You can also split your reimbursement request between multiple students' wallets, meaning you can receive some of the reimbursement for one student while receiving the rest of the funds to another.

For a list of commonly approved expenses that align with most educational plans, along with a list of items that are never approved for reimbursement, take a look at the articles below:

  • Items Commonly Approved for Reimbursement
  • Items That Will Never Be Reimbursed

For a more detailed look at our reimbursement process, check out Reimbursement Overview.

Direct Orders

To supplement your student's education, you can place orders for materials through approved vendors to further customize your educational resources.
