Getting Started (RISE Online Academy)

Program Structure

Each school day, your student will join a live instruction video call with their homeroom teacher via Class for Zoom. Students will spend no more than two hours per day in live lessons.

At the beginning of the school year, you and your student will both receive the link for this daily session by email. (The link will remain the same for all of your student's daily sessions.)

Your student will receive this link to their RISE email address.

What's my student's email address?

Typically, your email address will be your student's first name and last name, separated by a period, followed by @riseonlinestudent.org.

For example, if your student's name were Jane Doe, their email address would be jane.doe@riseonlinestudent.org.

Go to gmail.com to enter your RISE student email address and password.

What if I have trouble logging into my student's email address?

If you have any problems logging in, please reach out to our support team at (844)562-8606; press 2 for tech support.

How can my student access their coursework through Clever?

How can I view my student's assignments, monitor their grades, and read the feedback that their teacher is leaving?

Create a Parent Observer account in Canvas, our Learning Management System! Here's a list of resources on how to get started.

Flex Fridays

Each Friday, RISE Online Academy offers fun virtual events and other activities to help students connect with each other.

Students can move between breakout rooms to try out different activities (like LEGO building, pet show and tell, a paper airplane challenge – just to name a few!).

Your student will be expected to join these Flex Friday sessions with their teacher. You'll receive the link to join through your student's email.

Flex Fridays will replace the thirty-minute live instruction session for the day – your student won't be expected to join any other sessions.
