The UFA (Utah Fits All) Scholarship Program provides Utah families with the resources they need to shape their students' educational experience. This program operates through a platform called Odyssey

OpenEd Academy is proud to be an approved private school for the UFA Scholarship Program during the 25-26 academic year. (In the Odyssey platform, OpenEd Academy appears as "OE Academy of Utah.")

What To Know If You're Enrolled With UFA

If your student is enrolled in OpenEd Academy through UFA's Odyssey system, they will be classified by the state of Utah as a private schooler.

What that means:

UFA defines a "private schooler" as a student who receives more than half of their instruction from their private school.

How OpenEd Academy aligns with these requirements:

Every OpenEd Academy student who enrolls via UFA is required to take at least four credits (or eight half-credits) during their school year.

Every course offered through OpenEd Academy includes an assigned instructor - a teacher who will review your student's classwork, hold office hours for content-specific questions, and offer other support related to that course.

FAQs

Q: What if my student does not get to 100% complete in all four of their courses before the end of the school year?

A: Your homeroom teacher will check in at least once a month (or more frequently if you request it) to update you on your student's progress toward their goals in each of their classes.

If it looks like your student is at risk of not meeting these goals, their homeroom teacher will schedule a consultation call with you to discuss ways to help.

At the conclusion of the school year, the mastery-based grades issued for each course by our OpenEd Academy instructors will reflect completed and missing content.

Since final grades and transcripts are private student information, this data will not be provided to state agencies or other schools without a parent's written permissions.
