Our Community team is proud to offer a wide variety of interactive and engaging virtual events!

Every month, we'll share our upcoming events through the Community newsletter that's sent out to all OpenEd families. Take a look at some of our regular offerings below.

Learn Together Webinars

These are virtual, standards-based lessons where kids of all ages explore topics together. Some examples of past Learn Togethers include:

  • Human Body (Nervous System)

  • Time with the Sun: Make a Sundial

  • Ocean Zones and Creatures

  • The American Revolution Series

  • The Commutative Property of Addition

Creative Studio

Through hands-on creative projects, our state-certified teachers guide students through collaborative artistic experiences. Past Creative Studios include:

  • Snowy Owl Art

  • Line Dancing

  • Heart Cupcake Decorating

  • Nature Sun Catcher

  • Summer Popsicles

Themed Weeks

Celebrate a specific topic through a week of themed events, each day building on the last! Examples of past Themed Weeks include:

  • Spirit Week

  • Around the World Week

  • STEAM Week

  • Space Week

  • Animal Week

How To Sign Up For A Community Event

After logging into the platform, head over to the marketplace from the lefthand sidebar.

Once you're there, click on the word Events from the top right of the screen to view our current events.

State-Specific Information

General/OpenEd Academy

  • Newsletter is sent to 'OpenEd Academy families' instead of just 'OpenEd families'
  • Uses different visual guide with academy-specific interface screenshots
  • Includes additional explanatory text about clicking on event tiles for full information
