By enrolling in the OpenEd program, your student is assigned to a school of enrollment - a local school district partnered with OpenEd. The school of enrollment is where student records and transcripts are officially housed.

The school of enrollment pre-approves all expenditures and oversees the program to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and Board rules.

Withdrawing Your Child from Their Previous School

Please withdraw your student from their last school and explain that they will be enrolled in an online program through another district.

Your assigned school of enrollment will request your student's records.

Homeschool Affidavit

When your child participates in the OpenEd program, they are enrolled in a public school and do not require a Homeschool Affidavit to be filed with your local school district. If you'd like to maintain an affidavit for your records, you're welcome to do so.
